In 2021, the government of Uzbekistan announced plans for an IPO of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company (NMMC), the national mining company tasked with extracting the country’s gold from Muruntau – the world’s largest gold deposit. It is looking increasingly likely that those plans are poised to come to fruition in H2 2025.
