From gold miner to investment adviser, the Fund is the result of a series of evolutionary developments under the Sawiris family’s ownership since 2012. The Sawiris family is an Egyptian family with a distinguished track record of value creation in telecoms, media, real estate, and mining.

2012-2015: Operator of gold mines

  • Specialises in acquiring and managing significant stakes (20-30% typically) in listed gold mining businesses

2021: Fund established
